Islander News:

Please find attached a complementary copy of the January 2016 issue of BNAPS News, any problems encountered when opening the file please let me know and  I will try and help.
As you will see the project to restore our historic B-N Islander G-AVCN is moving into a exciting time where the way is now clear to get the aircraft fully assembled by April 2017 in time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its first flight.
The new workshop is invaluable in that it offers the space to rebuild the complete wing and to assemble the aircraft. Meanwhile the search goes on for a permanent home for VCN so that it can be on public display on the Isle of Wight. BNAPS is in discussion with other groups on the Isle of Wight that share an interest in the Island's aviation heritage to assess the benefits of collaboration - progress in this direction will be reported as the situation evolves.

The immediate aim is keep the restoration project on track and BNAPS is now embarking upon an intensive fundraising campaign under the "Islander for the Island" banner and a recruiting drive to encourage more people to support the project as members of the BNAPS Supporters Club.Any help you can give to ensure the continuing success of the project, such as taking out a subscription for the BNAPS Supporters Club or by making a personal donation, will be most welcome.
