L.E.R. Bellairs, (pilot), Lt. D.M. Lubbock (observatør) og L/A C.F.Beer (skytter).

Substantial remains of Fairey Albacore N4325 – “5B” of 828 Sqdn. FAA, which have been stored at the Grenseland Museum, Kirkenes have been transfered to the Norwegian Aviation Museum at Bodø.

The Albacore was one of several shot down when attacking shipping in the harbour of Kirkenes 30th. of July 1941.

The crew consisted of Lt. L.E.R. Bellairs (P), Lt. D.M.Lubbock (O) and L/A C.F.Beer (AG).

L/A Beer was killed in the air battle and buried at the crash site by the Germans. The two others became POW`s.

The remains of L/A Beer were collected from the site (inside Russia) July 1989 together with the wreckage of the Albacore. He is now buried at the war cemetery in Oslo.

The Grenseland Museum have decided to transfer all of their stored goods related to airplanes to the Norwegian Aviation Museum.

Together with the Albacore, parts for other airplanes as the Il-2, P-39, Norseman, Beriev, Ju88 and others are to be moved.
