Andrea - Merkingen på flottørene. Originalt skal produsentens logo vises på yttersidene av flottørene. Vi hadde bilde av logoen. Det var ikke av særlig god kvalitet, men kunne med moderne teknikk rekonstrueres. Andrea var den rette å spørre om hjelp. Hun er knyttet til museet for å kunne utføre slike oppgaver. Hun har kunnskapen, kan teknikkene og har utstyret som trenges. Hun har blant annet merket opp på nytt starfighteren som står i utstillingen. Det var en omfattende oppgave som hun løste med glans. Da hun var ferdig med flottørene var vi veldig fornøyd, og glade for at vi slapp å benytte teknikken med sjablonger.
Andrea – The marking on the floats. The original plan was to display the manufacturer's logo on the exterior of the floats, but the only reference we had was a low-quality image. To address this, we reached out to Andrea, who is closely connected to the museum and frequently undertakes specialized restoration projects. Before this project, Andrea had successfully re-marked the starfighter now displayed in the exhibition, demonstrating her expertise in similar tasks.
Using advanced digital reconstruction software, Andrea was able to enhance the blurry image and create an accurate template. Her specialized equipment allowed her to transfer the logo seamlessly onto the floats, ensuring the markings were precise and visually authentic. The result was outstanding, and the team was especially pleased that Andrea's approach meant we could avoid the more cumbersome technique of using stencils. Her contribution made a significant difference in restoring the floats' original appearance and documenting the project’s authenticity step by step.
